China’s patent agency services have greatly developed.

China National Patent Attorneys’ Association indicated recently at the 14th Sino-Japan Intellectual Property Summit in Sichuan that the patent agency industry has developed vibrantly with the volume of patent applications increasing rapidly. It is estimated that 266,000 of 350,000 patent applications in 2004 were filed via attorneys, accounting 76% and 74,800 of these applications were foreign-related.
