Recently, Honghe Lighitng Beer Co., Ltd.,(hereinafter “Honghe”), a listed company in Yunnan China, has just received the judgment from the Intermediate People's court in Foshan Guangdong ordering damages of 10 million RMB to the plaintiff (Hui LIN, the owner of a private company ) for trademark infringement.
It has been the second suit that Honghe has lost for trademark infringement in recent three years. Professionals consider the 10 million RMB as the damages of highest amount amongst all the suits involving trademark infringement.
