Samsung Intended to Bring a Lawsuit Against Five Mobile Telephone Companies Across the Straight

Samsung, the South Korean electronics giant, intended to bring aggressively a lawsuit against five mobile telephone companies on the ground of infringement of its legal rights on design patents and other related patents. In addition, Samsung also intended to request the retailers and sellers make statements in the newspapers to apologize for their conducts of selling the mobile telephones accused of infringement.

It is said that Samsung claimed that the mobile telephones of these accused companies had copied the design and function of Samsung mobile telephones and released its confidential files. The lawsuit is targeted to five companies, namely, Taiwan Tatung, Taiwan Shengbao, Taiwan Zhuoli, Tianshida of Mainland China, and Baolong Electronics of Mainland China. The research made by Samsung showed that the surface designs of the mobile phones of DG212 manufactured by Zhuoli and TC909 manufactured by Tatung are identically copied from that of D508 and E708 owned by Samsung.
