As Sino-US Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade in April is fast approaching, China made a big move on Protection of Intellectual Property Right.
On March 8, the Ministry of Commerce and Trade released Plan on IP Protection Action in China 2006 which is, as long as more than 15, 000 Chinese Characters, made by the Office of National Working Group on Intellectual Property Rights together with 15 departments, depicting a way to protect IP right in the unprecedented scale in the coming year.
In addition, according to Mr. Xikai Wen, secretary-general of State Office of National Working Group on Making Strategy of State Intellectual Property, the reporter was told that China is in the process of making medium-term and long-term strategy on Intellectual Property Protection which is expected to be released to the public by the end of this year.
