According to the Intellectual Property Office of Tian Jin, “2006 Tian Jin Funding Measure for Patent Application” (Measure) entered into effect recently, with the aim at improving the ability and level of enterprises and government-sponsored institutions to utilize the patent system and cultivating institutions with independent intellectual property rights.
The sponsoring provided by the Measure is available to applications for Chinese invention patent and utility model patent, applications for foreign invention patent, PCT application. At the same time, the Measure confirms to extend methodically the funding project to the patent applications for pharmaceuticals, foods, health products, for industrial design of famous brand products and the invention patent applications by callans in Tianjin. A project for establishing the IP-predominant enterprises will also be developed.
