Mr. Tian Lipu, Director of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO), signed a co-operation agreement with Mr. Sbanda, genera director of the African Intellectual Property Organization (AIPO) in Beijing on July 4, 2007.
Mr. Tian stressed that, with China also being a developing country, Chinese people have profound feelings towards African people, and the SIPO will do its best to provide supports to the AIPO. This co-operation has been recognized as not only a communication with the AIPO, but also an opportunity to learn from the member states of the AIPO. With this meeting and the conclusion of the agreement, the bilateral co-operation between two sides is expected to have a successful beginning and a steady development.
