We got the information from Fuzhou Customs that in the first half of 2005, totally 62 infringement cases were cracked down in this customs, exceeding the case numbers of the whole year of 2004; the total case value, 4.91 million yuan, is 1.8 times of that of last year. Infringement cases uncovered through various channels assume four features, which are, firstly, infringement cases related to similar trademarks obviously increased; secondly, infringement cases of export with fake commodity name saw increase; thirdly, the case values were high and the infringed commodities were relatively concentrated; and fourthly, independent IP infringement cases increased. Among the cases uncovered, 10 were independent IP infringement cases, with case value accounting for over 85% of the total.
